national level politicians spend 98% of their time courting rich donors and peddling influence with backroom deals. This dealing with the public thing isn’t on their radar most of the time. They just say what aides tell them to say.
Well I'm certainly not happy with that state of affairs, and I doubt anyone here on Free Republic is either.
