Most RC control systems are now on the license free 2.5 GHz band and use frequency hopping spread spectrum. They are designed to be jam-resistant so dozens of flyers can be in the air simultaneously without needing frequency coordination.

The only way to jam is to jam the entire 2.5 GHz band that also is used by Bluetooth (and cordless phones, Wi-Fi, etc.)

Jamming involves sending out a signal powerful enough to disrupt the communications between the transmitter and receiver. A signal powerful enough to do that would disrupt the signal for at least a couple of miles. Now apply that to all of the frequencies that RC models operate on (I refuse to call an RC toy a “drone”) and you have the potential for disrupting many non-RC signals, too. Technically feasible but not politically.

Isn’t there a way to jam the remote signals for these?

They should have just launched an all-out nuclear attack on the drone to be on the safe side.

Most of the drones and “droning” is found and done in Congress.

The Drone Master is in the Red House.

Actually, the spread spectrum frequency hopping consists of two discrete frequencies, but yes - one would need to jam the entire frequency bands at issue.

Depends on the system being used. Spektrum uses two carriers in DSSS, but Futaba and others use FHSS that hop the entire band.
