So much for Posse Comitatus
Even I didn’t see this coming when I was first SWATted, nigh unto 30 years ago.
If I were an illegal I would be scared.
Looks like SF soldiers are training to make urban arrests. Police don’t and won’t do urban warfare the way soldiers do. SF soldiers are mainly instructors trained to train recruits from among friendlies (assets) in foreign countries. Looks like they’re training to train foreign police now.
Posse Comitatus Act is only violated when the federal military attempts to exterior domestic authority while Federal Solures under federal(not state or local) command. Training under the supervision and control of the local police does not qualify.
Nor does operating under the direct authority of the State or local Government as milia. This law exist to help keep the different levels of Government separate.
