"Nkurunziza is currently in Tanzania where he is due to meet the leaders of the five-nation East African Community (EAC) - made up of Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda as well as Burundi."
Sounds like a winner...............
“You are the weakest link, good-bye.”
I don’t follow the politics of that region particularly closely. Which side in this fight is the one that honors property rights, will establish sound legal institutions, favors limited but competent government, honors religious freedom and freedom of expression, and will pursue democratic representation for citizens?
Will this kick off another round of Hutu vs Tutsi ructions, even though the two rivals for power identify as Hutus?
Should we be happy?
Should we be sad?
I haven’t thought about Burundi since, well, I suppose I’ve never thought about Burundi at all.
It wouldn’t be a day that ends in Y if there wasn’t a coup in Africa or when a “president” tries to violate a constitution to stay in power.
Some poor network news reader is gonna hurt himself over that one.
Maybe this is one foreign affair we can stay out of.
But probably not.
Nkurunziza
He must be from Czechoslovakia.
