I frankly am finding it hard to blame him for talking about sports and off-the-wall stuff. The actual political situation is bleak. I fear the country is about to turn firmly Socialist in 2016 and won’t be looking back. At least not in my lifetime.

To me Rush sounds like he is also resigned to this.

Why Rush, et al. could finally(!) comment about Democrat First Ladies without fear.. President Reagan took action to end the FCC "Fairness Doctrine".

The FCC "Fairness Doctrine" was used by liberals/progressives to restrict the First Amendment without having to repeal it -- they enforced "fairness" by threatening to take the radio station owners' licenses if citizens complained about their programming content

It's all true. Mr. Radio was Larry "You don't want to pay more taxes? Don't you love your Country?" King.

And it was generally agreed in the media that all the fairness conservatives needed was the one hour a week of William F. Buckley's Firing Line on PBS.

Conservative and Marine W.W.II vet Joe Pyne (an early version of Levin and Savage) had earlier been blamed for the assassination of JFK and had been kicked off the air. I believe that he was on 250 stations. Pyne did support some liberal issues like labor unions.

If poverty changes your DNA, then you no longer have control over your financial situation.

Does success change your DNA?

If I act successful long enough, will I be born to it?

I was going to say it was a derivative of cankles times the amount of amount posts complaining to people who have no control over what Rush says but that might be my 2 Nespresso’s talking.

So all DNA affects their behavior, but we cannot talk of the DNA related to race...

I wasn't paying close attention to Rush's DNA -- but I think that all whoever is saying it is talking about something like this -

DNA replication mechanisms are affected by oxidative stress (caused by some lifestyle diseases). . . telomeres (the compound structures protection at the ends of DNA) shrink a little bit every time a cell divides. Over time this causes the DNA to not reproduce correctly for the new cell and at some point a cell can no longer divide period.

If it's true of the poor it's flat-out true of life. Period.

No, I guess I don’t blame him. But I won’t pretend that mindless diversion does anything substantive about our overall position, either.

To me, he is there for reasoned explanation of the real problems and motivating factors that confound us in this downwardly spiraling devolution Obama is projecting on this country. In short, he’s there for insight, inspiration and motivation as well as being the central whipping boy for the left - he revels in it.

He’s not there to tell me about MLB, MLF, golf or any else like that I don’t care a rat’s patootie about. Do the job, or retire and move on and let somebody else take up the banner.
