State Department officials gave speedy and sometimes only cursory consideration to potential conflicts of interest when approving former President Bill Clinton's lucrative speeches to global companies and foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton's tenure as secretary of state, an Associated Press investigation has found.

Again and again, the ethics office responsible for vetting his appearances hurriedly signed off on them, even in cases where questions had been raised about the behavior of organizations hiring Bill Clinton to appear.

It approved at least 330 requests for the former president's appearance at speeches, dinners and events. More than 220 of those were paid events that earned the family nearly $50 million, according to AP's review of State Department documents and Hillary Clinton's financial disclosure forms.

The ethics office's standard response: "We have no objection."

Questions I have but are unanswered in news coverage revolve around the following:

What is the purpose of the Clinton foundation? What is the nature of the humanitarian or charitable work done by the foundation?

Why do they only spend 15 cents on the dollar of income in the charitable mission of the foundation, whatever that mission is?

What happened to the other 85 cents of each dollar?

How much do the Clinton’s pay themselves to run the foundation? How do the salaries paid to Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea compare to other charitable organizations?

The State Department also provided free manpower to Bill Clinton during his overseas trips, in the form of embassy diplomats pulled away from their usual duties to run “control rooms” and press centers, and to drive Clinton and his staff around, act as go-fers, etc, etc.

The original article is so full of damning evidence that only a handful of families whenever escape prosecution. These accusations — I should say stacks of evidence — point directly to jail.

“”Generally you can find information about an organizations activities through their annual report and press coverage. The Clinton Foundation posts it annual reports on its website. My understanding is that the Clinton Foundation is a grant-making organization. That is, the fund other organizations who are the “boots on the ground.” You would have to look at who is receiving money from the Foundation and how successful that organizations efforts are.

Susan””

The above is a reply I received from Judicial Watch when I wrote and asked how to find out what the Clinton
foundation(s) do just in the United States. As I’ve responded on FR in the past, their foundation(s) are so convoluted, confusing and intricate and purposely so as to defy understanding. Howard Hughes was the master at organizing his personal and business affairs this way and no one could sort them out. There is not ONE Clinton Foundation - there are offshoots of offshoots.

Treat yourself to a visit to their website and take in the multitude of “good works” they do - AHEM!! Keep a barf bag handy! Also you can google tax returns of the foundation(s)and get more of a treat.

Imagine the glossiest brochure of a business you have ever laid eyes on. This is what you’ll see by visiting their website - lots of dazzle and I guess it impresses people with LOTS OF MONEY but why is the question? Could not these people/countries give their money directly to African nations to fight malaria and clean up the water sources? It’s a simple question but one that is not likely to get an answer from the Clintons.
