A special House panel investigating the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, has uncovered tens of thousands of new documents, but is still facing "obstacles" from the Obama administration, an interim report issued Monday said.

An "Interim Progress Update" was released Monday revealing the investigation "has uncovered new witnesses, new documents, new facts and will result in the most detailed and complete accounting of what happened in Benghazi."

And it reported that the panel in June will interview former Secretary of State Leon Panetta, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey and retired General Carter Ham, who was in charge of U.S. troops in Libya at the time of the attack.

According to Trey Gowdy and the Nixon history, Congress can call for (request) a Special Prosecutor, but the Justice Department provides him. That is there J O B.

In the case of Nixon, the Republican appointed Justice Department head provided the SP and the likes of Hillary worked for the prosecution side.

Gowdy said we will never see a SP under the Obama administration, months and months ago. Gowdy is exposing Boehner’s resistance to rock the boat before the election. Always, an election out there.

Next?

Latest I’ve seen is April 23. Doesn’t sound like Boehner/Gowdy have any intention of forcing her to appear:

I think Gowdy (and ‘we’) need good luck.

With what is at stake, there is nothing these criminals that run our government would not do, including murder.

I read where Hillary’s lawyer has postponed her appearance.

I so expected the typical delay tactic that I didn’t bother to read the article.

Hillary is dicking him around. And what can he do?

That was my point. There is a limit to what he can 'do' in his position. He cannot arrest anyone. His job, which he is doing, it to try and get to the bottom of this.

If that turns out to be impossible, then it is not Gowdy that is the problem. It is the criminals in our government and the apathy of the public.

I think we're having a vocabulary problem. I say Gowdy is ineffectual. That means: there is a limit to what he can "do" in his position.

He can't seem to do much. Is that his fault? I'm not saying. But people on this board seem to think Gowdy is going to "do something". He going to "get the goods". He's "scheduled her testimony".

Nothing that Gowdy is doing is amounting to a hill of beans. Why? Because there is a limit to what he can "do" in his position.

So Conservatives should stop looking to Gowdy as someone who is going to achieve anything.

He's ineffectual.

If you cry then I'll cry.... and feel bad.

In summation, let's see what happens and then cry or rejoice as the facts come out.

” So... if you were to suddenly find yourself in Gowdy’s shoes, what would you do different ? “

Look around for a better hair stylist, first, and more important, stop ‘speaking loudly, but carrying a small stick’

It has been 3 years and two wuss committee chairmen, Issa and Gowdy.

There has been “plenty of time” for the facts to come out.

Those that think like you don’t demand much, as a result don’t get much.

“Gowdy has “invited” her?

Gowdy has the power to “force” the lying B to testify.

It has been 3 years since Bengazi. First it was Issa. Now Gowdy.

Plenty of time to get the job done.

Those 4 dead Americans deserve to be more than a campaign tool
for the GOP in 2016.”

From the time of the Watergate Burglaries to Nixon’s resignations was just over 2 years, this has dragged on way to long, nobody DIED in the Watergate Hotel burglary.

Well, we'll just agree to disagree on this.

I'm patient and trusting in Trey Gowdy to nail their asses before 2016.

There is nothing to disagree on.

3 years has been plenty of time to find the truth.

You don’t want justice and truth for these 4 dead Americans.

You want to use their deaths as a campaign tool in 2016.
And there is something very wrong with that way of thinking.

BS, their deaths must be vindicated, it hasn't happened yet, so is 2016 too late to vindicate them?

We both know Hillary is responsible and guilty for the 4 deaths.

If she is the presumptive 'rat nominee, what better time to bring out the facts?

Remember, other than us right thinking conservatives, we are unfortunately also dealing with the low info voter.

They look at what's happening TODAY; that's why the summer/early fall of 2016 would be a proper time to release the dirt on her thighness.

I'm sure Gowdy will fulfill my expectations.

If I'm wrong, just damn.

There will be no required vote in the House of Representatives under Boehner because he is corrupt and will not call for it.

Then he should come out and say so. Challenge Boehner in the floor of the House, take it public. Accuse him of obstructing his committee.

Do something other than whine.
