WASHINGTON — The Obama administration on Monday put health insurance companies on notice that they must cover all forms of female contraception, including the patch and intrauterine devices, without imposing co-payments or other charges.

In the last month, the National Women’s Law Center and the Kaiser Family Foundation issued separate reports that found that insurers often flouted a federal requirement to provide free coverage of birth control for women under President Obama’s health care law.

Remember, the whole basis of the contraception mandate was the claim that requiring insurers to fund contraception would actually save money by reducing births.

So the fact that they were resisting this requirement must mean that insurance companies don't like money.

Just another fact of life in the world of Obamacare.

Why shouldn’t they flout the law? The Obama administration does so on a regular basis. This extends even to the health care law.

Will that cause the price of contraceptives to skyrocket because the manufacturers will be able to raise the price to whatever the insurers are willing to pay for them?

And of course the insurance companies would never pass on the cost of buying contraceptions to the consumer...

That's why they are free.

Since Obamacare also prohibits the government from negotiating price with pharma companies, the answer is yes.

It’s not free. Somebody will have to cover the cost. Liberals just want themselves or their favored group to not pay for the benefit they are receiving while other people not receiving the benefit have to pay that cost.

Like the costs of a so-called "college education", due to government money?

I'm sure we can all guess the correct answer.

But, it's ok, as long as Democrat Croniestm in Big Pharmatm are gettin' paid.
