Michael Steel, one of Speaker John Boehner’s top aides, is moving to Miami to work in a “leadership role” for Jeb Bush’s political action committee.
Steel has worked as the press secretary for Boehner since 2008, when the Ohio Republican was the minority leader of a battered Republican party in the House. He has guided Boehner’s communications operation for seven years, helping craft the strategy that made the Ohio Republican speaker, and subsequently playing a key role advising him in day-to-day governing, including high-stakes negotiations with President Barack Obama.
Steel will be an adviser to Bush’s Right to Rise Policy Solutions PAC, “with a leadership role in policy and communications,” according to a source familiar with the role. Right to Rise is the precursor to Bush’s all-but-certain presidential campaign.

Seriously, there is no point to the Republican party any more. Democrats will always out-liberal establishment Republicans, and establishment Republicans do not stand for us. Never have.
Michael Steel has made his particular preferences known before. Probably a pretty good fit, from the Jeb Bush campaign perspective.
Michael Steel was considered to be in line with GOP Establishment thinking. And Jeb Bush is distinctly on the side of the Establishment.
Jeb could have hired Karl Rove, but then there would be much confusion around the headquarters, in distinguishing Jeb from Karl.
I always though Steel spouted plenty of Jeberish. Now what propensity will be more valuable.
Well, if there wasn't already plenty of reasons to 'keep out da Bushes'... This would be a good reason to start.

I don’t know what he was like a Lt. Gov. but I bet he threw his weight for lots of money to go to black causes.

You’re talking about former Lt Governor Michael Steele. This is not the same guy. This is Michael Steel, John Boehner’s aide.
Good. Steel has gone from one losing team to another losing team.

I did get the offices wrong. But still Micheal Steele was all for solving Baltimore’s distopia society with mo money.
