Labour Party grandee Jack Straw, leaving Parliament after 36 years that included several Cabinet stints, called the party's showing in Scotland "an unbelievably bad situation in Scotland which frankly nobody anticipated."
Throughout the campaign, Scottish voters told pollsters and journalists they were tired of being taken for granted by Labour, and many had not been impressed when Miliband joined forces with Cameron to urge Scottish voters to reject independence in last September's referendum. Scots whose families had for decades voted Labour turned away in droves.

David Cameron used hostility to the SNP to win votes in England away from UKIP and now he’s going to switch around like a double talking Republican would in this country and try to cut a deal with the SNP on devolving power to Scotland.
Democracy is a very messy way to run a country. However, it’s still the best way to run a country.
But other than that, I'm behind you 100 percent.
I’m not so sure about that, now that democracy has devolved into the parasites voting to eat the host.
The SNP’s.... policies are commitments to same-sex marriage, reducing the voting age to 16, unilateral nuclear disarmament, progressive personal taxation, the eradication of poverty, the building of affordable social housing, free higher education, opposition to the building of new nuclear power plants, investment in renewable energy....[31][32]

I guess the new battle cry is: “They will never take our FREEBIES!!!!!”
Neither the UK and nor the USA are a democracy. However, I would rather have a Constitutional Republic any day of the week than a true Democracy.
Like many from the American Southern Appalachians, a good percentage of me is of Scottish heritage. And like most from Appalachia, I lean right and totally distrust the Government. Whatever has gotten into the modern Scots to make them lean so far to left is a complete mystery to me. Maybe someone from the UK can help me out with this question?
Democracy is what you see in the voting within the inner cities, aka mob rule voting for other people's money. It never works.
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting over what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well armed sheep with veto authority.
Do you have anything intelligent to say, or do you just like to show your ass?
I don’t know.
