Did anyone listen to O’Reilly tonight? If not, consider yourself LUCKY.
O’Reilly’s position and, I’m afraid, Rev. Franklin Graham’s is that we should not insult a billion Muslims and the event was intended to do so.
(Pause to reflect - at this moment I started to scream at the TV)
So all of the discussion revolves around the issue of good taste or bad taste, be nice or not nice an what good does it do to insult every Muslim on earth?
Tell me, does anyone actually believe that Pamela Geller’s goal was to do any of those things?
Is it just possible that her real goal was to demonstrate that the Muslims are destroying our First Amendment rights inch by inch, word by word, paragraph by paragraph, image by image.
Is it just possible that they have succeeded to the point where they control what is said and shown on shows like O’Reilly? Or Greta? Or the NYT, WP, LAT?
We all know the answer to that. Bless Pamela Geller for teaching us a lesson. Unfortunately only the 1% who care and most Freepers will get the message.
Everything they get will embolden them to demand more.

And that's a very stupid 'talking point' O'Reilly is throwing around. If a billion Muslims feel insulted by the mere drawing of some image of Mohammed, then most all Muslims are as whacked out and irrational about minor things as some of the stereotypes would suggest.
The message that needs to be sent is that Muslims do not move into Western nations and began demanding that everyone live by their religious do's and dont's.
If we were the Western nations of 50 or more years ago, and any group went berserk as Muslims did over the first Danish cartoons, most every newspaper and news outlet in the West would have published those cartoons to send the message that Muslims don't tell free people what to do and how to live.
But there's not much of that spirit still around. Everyone who pretends to support free speech and other freedoms should support Pamela Geller.
