Mitt Romney to Host 2016 Summit for GOP Candidates and Donors
Breitbart ^ | 5/7/2015 | Dan Riehl

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is holding what will amount to his fourth annual political summit, according to a report in The Washington Post.

The summer affair is Romney’s fourth annual summit. The events began as a way for him to personally connect with the power brokers and financiers backing his political operation. The theme of this year’s gathering is the “strength and future of American leadership.”

It appears Jeb Bush is opting out and, for whatever reason, GOP hopefuls Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) 93% and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% are not among those on the current attendee list, either.

Mitt Romney, who earlier this year decided against a third presidential bid after briefly flirting with a run, will jump back into the national political scene next month when he hosts GOP presidential hopefuls and some of the party’s biggest donors in Utah.

Romney’s 2015 E2 Summit will take place June 11-13 in Deer Valley, a ski resort east of Salt Lake City, according to an invitation obtained Thursday by The Washington Post.

Confirmed speakers from the likely 2016 Republican field include Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 81% (Fla.), New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Sen. Lindsey

Jeb was invited, Cruz and Rand were not.

This makes clear who the GOP lackeys are who will support Anti-American
causes the Dems bring in. Yes, Anti-American.

And hosting at a Ski Resort, Why?

Romney will probably be the nominee before this is all said and done.

Will Bishop McRomneyCARE be celebrating the GOP’s
sad history of inventing and imposing
1. gay marriage, through him?
or

2. ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE, imposed through him?

or

3. Open borders of illegals, as used by McRomneyCARE?

or

4. Grubering the Public, as used by HIM?

Jeb was invited, Cruz and Rand were not.

The article says Jeb "is opting out," which means he must have been invited. As for Cruz and Rand Paul, it only says "for whatever reasons."

Are you sure that Cruz wasn't invited? Are you assuming it?

Romney apparently has invited Scott Walker, along with Rubio, Kasich, and Christie.

Pretty much -- some would say "almost" -- Uniparty candidates. Cruz's absence so noted, with a smile.

What ever Mitt does, it’s for a liberal reason and a liberal agenda. I imagine it’s a strategy session as usual to crucify the nearest or most tractioned conservative.

Is Romney radioactive now?

We could only hope so.

But judging by so-called "conservative" or at least "Republican" reader comments at the source, they think Romney is great.

There's no accounting for why some people bother to register "Republican."

I believe if Cruz and Rand declined to be there the media
headline would be plastered on front pages.

As it stands no media is talking about them not being invited.
We'll see.
