Sir, the only real question to ask at this point is: Why there is no legitimate opposition party in the United States of America, Inc.?

The Framers set up opposing interests, and division of powers to secure liberty. When power cannot concentrate among the one, few, or even many, liberty can flourish.

First and foremost was vertical division of power between the states and the government they created.

With the 17th Amendment, all powers collapsed into Washington DC.

That is why there is no opposition. The money, wealth, power are too good to upset.
