He freely speaks of it with an audience that has gathered to hear about his faith, but he doesn’t shy away from it in more secular settings.

That, and I believe that Jesus Christ genuinely informs his thoughts and actions as he lives his life. That’s a challenge for any of us. It’s even harder in his chosen profession.
At risk of getting myself flamed — I believe the same is true of George W. Bush. Not that Bush was flawless, and not that Bush and Walker are alike, or would govern similarly.
Just that each of them genuinely tries to live his life in obedience to Christ.
We can do WAY worse than to have that trait in our leader. As we have seen for these six going on eight long years.
I pray for my elected overlords on a regular basis:
Some to drop dead,
Some to have their cold, black hearts turned to God, and
Some to gird their loins and keep fighting the good fight! :)
