Everybody’s misused him
Ripped him up and abused him
Another junkie plan
Pushin’ dope for the man
A terrible blow
But that’s how it goes
A freddies on the corner now
If you wanna be a junkie, wow

Remember freddies dead!

How is this relevant to anything? He was a drug dealer - we’ve known that for a long time. He may well have ditched some drugs or other evidence in the building. The cops didn’t search for or find anything there, though, so that had nothing to do with his arrest. Nor did it have anything to do with the biggest question in this case - how did he die in custody?

Have the cops sent drug-sniffing dogs into that building yet? I doubt Freddie was carrying a gun since he also had a knife on him.

Why would they send drug-sniffing dogs into the building? They can’t prosecute him for possession, because he’s dead. What would be the point of even finding his drugs in the building?

Well, he was a bad guy, so he deserved it. Or something like that. I don't really know the thought process.

NOTHING justifies death that can be avoided. But explaining it so nobody is unjustifiably accused of murder is a valid exercise.

Freddie was a drug dealer on parole. He was in an environment he shouldn't have been in. He had what could've been a dangerous weapon, certainly one that was unacceptable for someone on parole. Anyone running from the police takes that risk of being shot. Otherwise, none of us are safe anywhere.

How does what the mayor of Baltimore encouraged justify so many people's livelihoods being destroyed when THUGS were given a license to riot?

Have you yet heard any authority figure in Baltimore say that what the rioters and looters did was unacceptable and uncivilized? How do you justify their silence?

The officer that Freddie “gave a look too” has a long history of violence and intimidation of citizens.

It’s not about justifying his death.
It’s that the DA is prosecuting the cops on the grounds that the arrest was unreasonable/illegal; this new evidence further erodes that ill-advised approach.

Does the above meet the threshold of "probable cause" for a known drug felon on parole? I suspect it does.
