Hillary Clinton is the favorite U.S. presidential candidate among millionaire voters and would win a head-to-head contest with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, according to the third CNBC Millionaire Survey conducted in March that was released today.

The survey, which polls 750 Americans with a net worth of $1 million or more, found that 53 percent of millionaires would vote for the Democratic ex-Secretary of State, compared with 47 percent for the GOP presidential hopeful, in a hypothetical general-election match-up. Clinton had the support of 91 percent of Democratic millionaires, 13 percent of Republican millionaires and 57 percent of Independent millionaires.

When asked about the broader field of candidates, Clinton got the most support, with 36 percent of millionaires. Jeb Bush came in second with 20 percent, followed by Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) with 8 percent, and Governor Chris Christie (R-N.J.) with 7 percent.

I think most rich just want to be left alone. If you’re very wealthy you have a great big bullseye on your forehead. The best way to be left alone? Give money to the crooks in DC and write it off as the price of doing business.

Dennis is OK, but I’m thinking Michael Moore. He made millions trashing America too! I understand he doesn’t bathe enough, so we would need to hose him down every day....

Not really.

How would a telephone poll know someone is a millionaire? They have to ask, and presume the answer is truthful.

If a stranger called me and asked if I was a millionaire, I would say no. I expect that nearly every true millionaire would do the same.

Since most true millionaires are business owners (small or otherwise), if defies belief to think they would vote for Shrillary.

The poll is clearly bogus, because the selection is flawed. But, it isn’t surprising that people willing to inflate their net worth would vote for Shrillary.

RE: If a stranger called me and asked if I was a millionaire, I would say no.

Here’s the other question — How do they define millionaire?

Many people are asset rich ( e.g real estate ) but not cash rich.

Hillary is the favorite among millionaire voters:

Of course she is

Millionaires have money. Lots of money

Millionaires can buy things with money.

Buying political favors and access is the easiest and lowest risk way for millionaires to make even more millions.

Hillary has favors and access for sale.

Read” How To Lie With Statistics”

and realize, all polls are agenda driven to a large extent.
