Communist China Drastically Steps Up Persecution of Christians

As the Western establishment works to bolster the communist regime ruling mainland China, Beijing has been intensifying its brutal campaign of persecution against Christians and other believers as part of a broader war on dissent. In fact, according to a recently released report by Christian human-rights organization China Aid, the dictatorship’s crackdown on believers of numerous faiths last year reached levels unseen in at least a decade, surging by more than 10,000 percent in one category over 2013. Analysts are warning that the worst may be yet to come as the Communist Party of China seeks to smash any and all perceived challenges to its ruthless rule and propaganda. Even government-approved and -managed churches have found themselves in the autocracy’s crosshairs.

From the article: "With Christians potentially set to outnumber members of the Communist Party of China in the coming years, the regime has been vicious in its crackdown. “The Chinese government’s persecution campaign included forced demolition of churches and crosses, the detention and imprisonment of pastors and church members on criminal charges, forcing churches into bankruptcy by confiscating church property and imposing fines, and manipulating state-run media to label house [unapproved] churches as ‘cult’ organizations,” the 2014 China Aid report explained. In addition to “cult” charges, Christian leaders are also routinely persecuted on trumped up charged ranging from “gathering a crowd to disrupt public order” to “fraud.” The sham “trials” are often conducted in secret."

Despite persecution, Christians are expected to outnumber Communist Party members in China.

The crackdown is bad, but its evidence of the good news that Christianity is spreading like wildfire in China. There were estimates that China would become the world’s largest Christian nation within the next 40 or 50 years. That prediction looks more and more realistic all the time.

I doubt the American people would be willing to go to war with China over the persecution of Christians.

Has sacrificing our economy for theirs helped or hurt the Christian numbers, I wonder. I don’t know. I do know the wholesale exporting of millions of jobs did nothing to dampen the regime’s appetite for communism.

Some people boycott stores like Best Buy because they dare say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas".

How many of these same people do or will boycott products made in China?

And why shouldn’t they crack down? If even the West is persecuting Christians, what’s to stop China. Christians are the most persecuted group on Earth.

No, it’s Capitalist China. Haven’t you heard.

This isn’t the same old China. It has changed!!!!

How big a fool did a person have to be, to be unable to realize that when no demands are made for trade access, no demands will be met.

How big a fool did a person have to be, to be unable to grasp that our trade with China would finance another global threat to peace on earth?

To a person, those who conducted, supported, and ran interference for trade with China should be lined up and shot, on the first day of open hostilities between us.

Our troops will die first, and many homeland U. S. Citizens will die second.

This will not be a war fought exclusively on foreign soil.

We have moved enemies within our nation.

That that helped bring us to this eventuality should pay the ultimate price, every last one of them.

And yet, Communist China is experiencing far greater expansion of Christianity than almost anywhere else in the world.

In what is a very strange inversion of the course of history, Christianity is probably thriving better in adversity than in in places where it has enjoyed relative calm and support. Christianity is dwindling in the cradle of its greatest earlier growth, the Western world and more particularly Europe, where Christianity has largely been abandoned. Inroads made by a competing theology, which is ruthlessly dedicated to the objective of displacing every other manifestation of worship to a Supreme Being, has obscured the continued decline of the Christian faith, and filled the vacuum created by the self-induced retreat of Christianity. This, however, is only by making some degree of parity between Islam and the Judeo-Christian ethos.

Would it not be ironic if China becomes the birthplace of a new Renaissance of Christianity?

The more Rome persecuted followers of Christ, they quicker they spread.
Happens over and over.
Western Europe - Christianity is all but dead. USA - down to a small remnant. But where it's the hardest to worship - Christianity explodes!
