Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake on Wednesday asked the U.S. Department of Justice to probe city police practices and said officers will have body cameras by 2016.
Rawlings-Blake, in a morning news conference, noted that complaints of police brutality have been down, and highlighted other improvements by the department.
"We have seen results from these efforts," she said. But she said more efforts must be made to build on reforms that have already been put into place.
"We have to get it right. Failure is not an option," she said. The mayor said the department of Justice will investigate what "systemic challenges exist in our department." At the end of the process, she said she will hold those accountable if changes are not made.
The announcement comes a day after a visit by Attorney General Loretta Lynch,

Why don’t they just come out and say that they don’t trust “white” police officers! So go full circle and bring back segregation and just hire and put black police in ‘the community’.
The DOJ needs to investigate how the billion$ spent in Baltimore have failed to solve the poverty and crime rates.

I can imagine that Baltimore cops, even non-white Baltimore cops, are looking for other jobs right now.
Three of the six cops charged in this case are black. They are being thrown under the bus by the black power structure of Baltimore.
Baltimore has a black mayor, black police chief, black state’s attorney, mostly black city council, largely black police force. The entire power structure of Baltimore is black. Baltimore is run by blacks.
Whatever else people say about this, it’s hard to find any racism, because while they may say blacks are victims, the power structure overseeing Baltimore is run by blacks.
A year, two at the most, the Libs will be begging for the Cops to take those cameras off.
We will have one video after another of the most vile, profane, obscene and violent behavior by the feral yoots of the urban paradise that could possibly be imagined.
The guilt and sympathy cards will disappear from the race card deck.
How about an investigation of the mayor’s encouragement to riot and burn and her order for the police to stand down?

Have to give the DOJ something to do. After all, it's not like we have any real criminal activity in the Obama administration and by its accomplices to investigate.

The mayor essentially admits that Democrat control of Baltimore has been a total failure and begs the Feds to take over to save their bacon.
BPD IS 50% black..as are 3 of the 6 officer charged..
How involved was the Obama administration or their messengers Valerie or Sharpton in the murder charges?
It would be hilarious if the three blacks are convicted and the three whites are acquitted.
