when I listened to Savage on Monday after Sunday, he was the only defending her. The callers I heard, except one and he took no position, all condemned her. If they did not say she deserved a figurative[my term] in the mouth by the muslins, strongly inferred it.

To say that I was surprised by the response would be an understatement.
