What do you do if you live in Wisconsin and the home invaders are police and prosecutors who raid your house because you had the nerve to support Scott Walker as your governor?

Wow, actual good advice from the media, but your and your spouse really should have firearms and practice, practice practice. Also, practice response to attempted home invasions and assure that you will not hesitate if the situation arises.
The dog lets us know if anyone is even close to the house, at that point I am already armed before they can breech.
Up here in Canuckistan, Stephen Harper got the talking classes angry by saying the police can not always arrive in enough time, so using a gun can be justified in those instances. Two professors at the University of Ottawa went as far as writing up a set of guidelines about how to confront a potential home invader peacefully and of course joined in the voices against Harper. Really makes you wonder what the colour of the sky is in their world (as if I have to ask that question).
After that, your kids get to live in Cuba the rest of their lives...........
or just do what all these old farts on FR do - hunker down on your old commodor 64, chug that cheap bourbon, and armchair quarterback your way to safety while actually letting someone else do it! Lol.
If it is the police and not a gang of cracked-out tweakers, they will be better trained and armed than you, and can call in backup.
I can be in full defensive mode in a second floor room in under 10 seconds. They’ll never leave that room alive.
If they want to sack the rest of the house, well, I guess that’s optional.

This happened to our next-door neighbors. The criminal family whom the swat team was seeking had actually moved out over two years prior to this event. Absolutely no prior reconnaissance had to have been done for them to break down my neighbors’ door in the middle of the night and burst in with loaded weapons ready to shoot. The new family were not even the same race as the criminals.
Pump the Invading criminals full of copper jacketed lead.
Limit access to your property via motor vehicle. All access is visable from the house, and has M.A.D sensors buried to detect vehicles.
Add IR beam fences to detect foot access, these are the red beam things you see in the movies, except they are not viable in real life.
Hardened door frames and doors (no glass panels in doors) and quality, not Chinese made deadbolts.
A good dog is always a plus.
Motion lights as mentioned in the article should be the first upgrade to any home. And fences and gates are a must as well.
Kill them all.
