The State Department has not found any evidence that, while serving as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton took any actions influenced by donations to the Clinton Foundation.
"We are not aware of any evidence that actions taken by Secretary Clinton were influenced by donation to the Clinton Foundation or speech on honoraria of former President Clinton," State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke said during a Monday press briefing.
The State Department's comments come on the eve of the official release of "Clinton Cash," a book about Clinton's tenure as secretary of state that alleges she used her power in office to provide favors to foreign governments who made donations to the Clinton Foundation.
Clinton, as well as her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have been on the defensive over the past few weeks, as major points about the book supporting these claims have already been leaked.
The Clinton Foundation still has documents to hand over, Rathke said, adding the State Department knows the foundation "did not meet some of the obligations to publish annually the names of new contributors" and "welcomes" the foundation's committeemen to turn them in.
"We are aware of no evidence that that there was undue influence," Rathke said.
And, just how would the State Department know this?

NOTE: One of the most common money-laundering MO's is one foundation writing a check to another foundation---the check receiver takes a cut then transfers the bulk elsewhere for the donor's use later---how they skim off tax-free money for themselves...or maybe for campaign expenses?
