Nickel in the metal back of the watch?

After decades of watches and other things being nickel plated, suddenly it would be an issue with Apple? I think it's all a plot by Microsoft to disrupt sales!

Nickle.

Once you develop an allergy to it you get progressively more sensitive.

Try coating the back with nail polish for a temporary fix but in the future just check and avoid.

My husband had to have my wedding rings recast from white to yellow gold because I developed a nickle allergy about a year after we were married. Now I break out very quickly when I come in contact with nickle.

Yep.

The annoying part is that now I can no longer wear items with nickle in them that I used to wear occasionally.

Not plated but rather a component of the stainless steel back plate. Depends on the percentage and the sensitivity of the wearer. All the youngins at Apple probably didn't know this when they signed off on the spec.
