but I LOVE Kate Middleton.

Yep, and you know what? You don't even have to fantasize about her without clothes because she is so beautiful with them on........That's what makes her so special.

I read Charlotte was number one in betting. Don't know why, yet, unless she's named after her granddad.

I was wondering if the article mentioned the possible connection to Carole Middleton, whose name is also related to "Charlotte." This article doesn't. Being interested in names in general, more so than in the British royal family, I've looked at a few other articles. Only some of them do. (Of course, naming the baby Charlotte doesn't necessarily imply a "tribute" to Carole Middleton, but I'd expect the baby's parents to be aware of this connection.)

I was wondering mainly because the connection is probably not the most obvious. The usual Latin form of "Charles" is "Carolus," which people may know from such famous Swedes as "Carolus Rex" or "Carolus Linnaeus." From it we also get the name and term "Caroline," such as the figures often known as the Caroline Divines because of their era. We also get the "Carolinas" and part of "Carolingian" (named in part for Charlemagne, also known as "Carolus Magnus"). But I myself never connected these with "Charles" or "Charlotte" when I was very young, before I started paying more attention to names and history.
