Why? The government will collect money for the public schools AT THE POINT OF A GUN (when needed). The schools have their hired guns, why should they care about the concerns of the people who are facing the business end of a Glock? And they do not.
We need to abolish public education. They feel they owe nothing to parents and taxpayers? Fine, we will see how far they go without them.

THANK YOU. That is my point. Separate schools from their government money stream and ONLY THEN can things improve. Once schools have to COMPETE for students, things actually will improve.
Until then, people here DO NOT want to know what teachers and others running the schools think of them...and even though my sister tells me, I WILL NOT post it. It is simply too ugly.

Not a problem, it could NEVER happen at the public schools that MY KIDS go to because we parents are ‘involved’ and would NEVER tolerate it (and besides, that overweight smiling teacher said the same). Yep, it only happens at ‘those schools’.

Well I guess I will remain an idiot in your book because I don’t think that teachers answer to parents...and that generation of illiterate kids only happened because PARENTS DEMANDED that schools stop teaching kids reading...it had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to to with Bill Honig (look him up) forcing it down their throats.
That’s fine - obviously most others here agree with me (judging by their posts)...so we’ll have to accept that we view government workers differently.
