'It's time for brothers in the U.S. to do their part': American jihadi allegedly called for attack on Texas Muhammad drawing contest
An American jihadi allegedly called for a copycat Charlie Hebdo shooting at a Texas 'draw Muhammad' event more than a week before it was attacked by two gunmen.
Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan, a 25-year-old fighter with the Al Shabaab terrorist group in Somalia, is thought to have posted messages urging violence against the event in the city of Garland, pre-empting the eventual attack.
The two armed men were shot dead by security after they opened fire outside the Muhammad Art Exhibit event, where participants were told to draw the Islamic prophet - considered blasphemy by his followers - for the chance of a $10,000 prize.
Hassan is believed to have posted a message on Twitter calling for the violence on April 23.
A twitter account believed to be his wrote: 'The brothers from the Charlie hebdo [sic] attack did their part. It's time for brothers in the #US to do their part.'
This was followed by a hyperlink to a news story describing the event, which took place at Garland's Curtis Culwell Center Sunday night.
The account which posted the message was named Mujahid Miski, believed to be Hassan's jihadi alias.

Reading radical Islam Twitter accounts might be one of the best ways to stop terrorists.
He will of course condemn Pamela Geller and her organization for being purveyors of hate.

Actually, since the Moslems failed to kill anyone, Hussein looks on them as losers. He won’t want to call attention to their action, precisely because they failed.
The whole incident is an advertisement for the First Amendment and the Second Amendment. I predict Hussein won’t mention it.
I am sure that the Garland ISD didn’t have a bit of hesitation to rent out the Culwell Center for Stand With The Prophet Day. But that made it sorta difficult to turn down tonight’s meeting.
Since the school district owns this joint we can surmise that the folks inside were unarmed. The school district security guy likely was also unarmed.
I don’t know that the News Cartel and the Sultan’s administration will want to give this too much coverage. Doesn’t fit the peaceful camel jock narrative.
Well they wanted Charlie Hebdo type attacks.
But they failed to consider that their future victims in America are not denied firearms.
