My Dad was stationed in Naples in the mid 1960’s. Went back thirty years later. Things had changed & not for the better.
If I want to visit Italy now, I will
1. Watch an Italian cooking video & prepare the dish at home. Grow my own basil & make my own pesto.
2. Watch a Sophia Loren movie (ancora la simpatica!).
3. Clean my Luigi Franchi O/U shotgun.
4. Take my Beretta pistol to the range.
5. Enjoy a glass of Soave Bolla.
6. Remember my time in Italy when it was a different place & the only demonstrations were for the national soccer team (Forza Italia!)
