I want to emphasize that she is not an affirmative action baby. No way. Purely on her own merit and genius, she graduated from Tuskeegee in 2002 and from nationally-renowned Michigan State-Detroit College of Law, where most of our Supreme Court Justices earned their Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees. She earned her JD in 2005 and then spent about half the time since them in low and mid-level jobs in the prosecutor’s office and the other half as an insurance fraud investigator for Liberty Mutual.
Overall, I would say she is one of the most qualified 35 year old prosecutors for a major American city since Clarence Darrow. /sarc
What happened to the other criminal that said that Freddie Gray was banging his head in the police van? Was it dissmised or what?
Where and what is the evidence of any wrong doing? Not saying that something didn’t happen, it’s obvious something bad happened. But how is it ever going to be proved what it was, who caused his death, etc. I just don’t see how this goes to trial with what I’ve heard and seen so far.
The city attorney is black. She’s gonna toe the racial line and try to charge and convict these men. This is only going to cause more harm than good.
So will they go after Mayor Rawlings-Blake like they did Rudy when Amadou Diallo happened?

The shrill state attorney here just threw the cops to the mob. If this doesn’t spark a mutiny within the Baltimore Police Department, then nothing will.
I cannot see a murder charge, but I can see the possibility of manslaughter if they failed to secure him in the van as they should have done.

Depraved heart murder? What? What was he doing, driving 100 mph crashing into old ladies?
Without an independent prosecutor and a change of jurisdiction, don’t see how the officers can get due process in that insane city.
From the article here are the names of the cops:
“Caesar R. Goodson Jr., William G. Porter, Edward M. Nero, Garrett E. Miller, Sgt. Alicia D. White and Lt. Brian W. Rice. Goodson, who was the driver of the van, is charged with the most serious crime, second-degree depraved heart murder.”
I’d say in all cases these could be white people or black people, not sure about “Nero” is that Italian?
You know that the orders to prosecute are coming from Loretta Lynch and Barack Obama.
I look forward to seeing the murder charges against the VA employees who let Veterans die while in their care.
I’m no lawyer, and I don’t play one on the intertubes, but this sounds as if the Prosecutor has massively over-charged.
Her own bias, racism, and conflicts of interest are very obvious.
When this gets moved out of Baltimore, an “impartial” jury is likely going to not convict most of them, which will set off the biggest riots nationwide we have seen in Decades.
And that should be late next summer, JUST BEFORE THE 2016ELECTIONS.

There is no chance this trial will be held in Baltimore, because any jury there will be hopelessly biased in favor finding guilt.
This prosecutor is simply trying to placate the rioters. SECOND DEGREE MURDER?! I guess that was the compromise after summary execution was rejected.
