In the Republican presidential field, Jeb Bush appears more and more to be a moderate outliernot necessarily because he is changing his views, but because so many of his potential competitors are racing each other to the right.
This dynamic was on full display on Thursday, when the former Florida governor spoke at a summit hosted by National Review, where Sen. Marco Rubio, Gov. Bobby Jindal, and Gov. John Kasich will speak on Friday. In an interview with Rich Lowry, Bush held fast on his immigration record, and argued that it is better to narrow access to citizenship to spouses and children and "expand based on need," rather than cutting off that pathway completely.
"That's how you're going to grow your economy, is bringing young, aspirational people in," Bush said.

Shove it, Jeb.
No Jebbie, go home to mama. You will never win the nomination, no matter how much money you throw away.
With 92 million employable Americans currently out of the workforce, Bush's comments are either criminally stupid or the lie of the century.
But they aspire to rape, kidnap, murder and pillage.........
Both.
FU Jeb Bush.
“”That’s how you’re going to grow your economy, is bringing young, aspirational people in,” Bush said.”
The elephant in the room is demographics. If everyone who came in was an independent agent, choosing their course in American life and society independent of their heritage or group identity, then great. That’s not, however, the case - and Bush should know this.
I don’t care what a person’s background or skin color is. I don’t care what country a person comes from. What I care about is if they have an agenda, and if that agenda is to rapidly alter America. I don’t want to ‘transform’ America. I want to contribute to ongoing improvement of a great, great country.
No Jebbie you are wrong and wrong for America.
McAmnesty was nominated after trying to pass amnesty TWICE.
I hope I’m wrong, but I think they’re going to nominate another Democrat in an R jersey.
Looks like the emergency waiting room at a hospital in the Bronx I was at once :)
Deport Jeb.
Jeb Bush loves the National Review?
Does that mean he’s queer?
In Jeb Bush’s idiotic mind, 92 million Americans cannot compare to the talent to 30 million illiterate Mexicans. If they were talented, the Mexican president would not allow them to leave Mexico.
And given the choice he’d never let them back in.
“Jeb Bush to National Review: I Love You, But Youre Wrong on Immigration.”
Well, you have to give Jebbie credit for being upfront with his Screw America positions. At least he’s not hiding them from us.
It looks like Jeb may go down in history as the worlds first great ‘moderate’. (At least in his own mind.)
