The same one. The USAF obviously knew the tanker was safe within a few hours of losing radar contact. Why are they reporting it as news?

Something more to it. Going off radar by altitude loss coupled by loss of radio contact is a big deal. We will eventually hear more about this one.

Claiming a do-over.

The first news report claimed the KC-135 was lost on radar because of altitude loss and the transponder quit operating. The original article even gave the transponder code.

Something is not right.
