A moral people doesn’t need laws as they will act morally no matter what. Are you afraid that once drug laws are eased that suddenly sober Christians will become pot heads?

And the WOD has been executed exactly as the laws have allowed. There are hundred (thousands?) of laws whose primary concern is catching drug users or dealers. Laws that prohibit the amount of money you can travel internationally with, how much money you can deposit or withdraw without triggering a red flag to the DEA. There are even laws that legally allow the police to seize your property under the mere SUSPICION that it is somehow connected to illegal drug. To get your property back, you must hire a lawyer and go to court and prove the property ISN’T connected to illegal drugs. There are millions of people in jail now for drug violations which cost us billions every year.

We can either live in a police state or a free country. Which do you prefer?

Even police states have drug problems: "Drug abuse in Iran rising despite executions, police raids" - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3256793/posts

Ya....I’ve noticed how much better things are now in Colorado....

Yes, when you send the message to kids that dope is legal, the incentive for caution is GONE.
