I have worked closely with several black men (hired one of them) during my various ‘careers. They were in good jobs ... had good educations, including a college degree. They were polite and well spoken, and good workers ... also a lot of fun to be around. What did they have in common? A mother who raised them right ... and every single one of those guys was still VERY respectful of their moms, appreciative of her sacrifices to get them a good education & what they needed to have a better life, AND they all were still a little bit “afraid” of her! When momma spoke, these guys still listened, if not ‘jumped’. An intact family is still the best, but lacking that for whatever reason, if you have a motivated, morals/values (black or otherwise) mom who truly parents her kids, they can (and do) turn out well.

Yes, she did, and today, practically the whole nation is rising up to applaud her for doing that.
