Sorry to hear that, my uncle served in the pacific during WWII in the Navy, one time my ex-girlfriend was in a Japanese anime cosplay event in college where my uncle worked and she knew him for they talked a lot, but that night he gave her a mean look when he saw her in the dress she wore, which later she told me about it, and I said he was in the war and helped against the Japanese Empire back then, and still had some bigoted views about them somewhat.
