RUSH: Okay, now, wait a minute, ladies and gentlemen, the police chief of Baltimore is telling parents to keep their kids at home. The police chief of Baltimore -- let me get this -- I want to get the exact words. What did this guy say? Here it is. I got it. "Take control of your kids." Okay? What do kids have to do with this? Hang on. Now the mayor of Philadelphia has spoken up. And the mayor of Philadelphia says: "Parents are responsible for their kids. Parents need to keep their kids in line," something like that.

And now here is Kweisi Mfume. Do you remember him? Bobby Moore, was that his name? Can never remember what Kweisi's real first name was. But he's a former member of Congress. Didn't he run the NAALCP for a while? Here's Kweisi Mfume, he's on Fox this morning saying: "I implore parents to know where your children are." Now, folks, what do kids have to do with this? Hang on. If you know, don't think I'm an idiot. I'm leading up to something here.

MRC: Mother Dishes Out Some Tough Love, Slaps Son for Participating in Baltimore Riot...back in the day, before mental illness was medicalized, we used to talk about "Schizophrenogenic mothers' - parents who gave their kids mixed or double messages so consistently that by the time the kids reached twenty or so they were so thoroughly confused that the only way for them to function any more was to go crazy - and what kind of messages to our so-called leaders give their communities in circumstances like those in Baltimore - rioting and looting are wrong, but after all people have been oppressed and ill-treated for so long it's only natural; we're being denied and cheated because business won't come into our communities and give us jobs and help the economy, but these corporations come into the communities and exploit the people and take profits out of the community for their white stock-holders; police don't respect our communities because they on't come and help protect them, but let's not have a lot of police there because that provokes the people and militarizes the situation - at least the mother seen in the video hitting her son the demonstrator upside the head and sending him home was giving him a clear message - she is not a schizophrenogenic parent.......
