US Expects Israeli Pledge to Two-States to Continue
Arutz Sheva ^ | 27/4/15 | Cynthia Blank

US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman had a harsh message for American Jewish leaders on Monday.

Sherman warned them that if the new Israeli government does not demonstrate a strong commitment to the two-state solution, the US will have trouble assisting it in efforts to halt international initiatives at the United Nations.

Speaking at a conference of the Reform Movement in the United States, Sherman insisted the US government has "always had Israel's back in the international arena, even when it meant standing alone. This will continue to be the case."

But, she continued, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's actions prior to elections "raised questions about his commitment to the two-state solution."

Sherman refers to a series of interviews the Prime Minister gave days before general elections on March 17, in which he vowed not to establish a Palestinian state. Netanyahu later backtracked on his statements.

"We will be watching very closely to see what happens on this [Palestinian] issue after the new government is formed," Sherman added.

"If the new Israeli government is seen to be stepping back from its commitment to a two-state solution that will make our job in the international arena much tougher... it will be harder for us to prevent internationalizing the conflict."

OK. Two states for two people. We are committed to that. Yessireebob. Hmhm. So let's start partitioning Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey to form a greater Kurdistan. And while we're at it, there are lots of different peoples in the US, too. So start figuring out which states will be part of Whitelandia, and which will form the new Brohomia (or should we call it "Bantustan" instead?) But how will you make San Francisco and Christopher Street in NYC into one contiguous Fudgepackistan? Will there be a gay coast-to-coast corridor? Then there's the little matter of the Basque state, long neglected. And if the Ruthenians don't have any nationalistic aspirations, they better borrow some from somebody, because we're partitioning Poland again.

All kidding aside, we the Israeli people who bother reading E5's posts and agree with him hold these truths to be self evident, that "two states for two peoples" is so much racist, hypocritical blather, that many Palestinians are themselves terrified at the prospect of a state run by either Fatah or Hamas, and are exiting to Jordan if they are able to, or if they are Jerusalem residents, are applying for Israeli citizenship, that smarmy diplomats should keep their noses out of Israel and stop talking out of their asses, and that the only reason they really are interested is that the Saudis are putting them up to it so that they can maintain their fatuous claim to legitimacy among Muslims, and that the chances for any peace at all under Oslo are nil.

Israel should tell the UN to FO.
there are 10s of millions of Americans who would willingly buy their products without some absurd stamp on it.
they have only enemies in the UN, including now, the pres. of America.
I hope Israel pours loads of money into Cruz election. Is that allowed?

Is Obama willing to go to war against Israel to enforce his idea?

The blatantly anti-Semitic Obama and his acolytes continue to wish Israel would commit suicide.

Let’s face it, that two-state pledge is a very abstract document. No one expects it to be enacted with the PA in total disarray and Hamas making death threats on a daily basis.

It’s a long term goal, like getting lions to lay down with lambs. No shepherd currently working actually does that as a policy choice.

Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces * , though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Fellow Americans, prepare for the United States to be cut in pieces as we continue to try to force Israel to give their land to the barbarians. Already we have lost our borders...

God's word is true and every man is a liar.

Perez is an honorary Bedouin. Maybe he’s tried it. And he’s going to try it again, this time with sheep that don’t taste good to lions.

Sure. It’d be a cake walk to invade and beat those punk-hearted Randoms. Just ask Egypt, Syria and Jordan.

“Is Obama willing to go to war against Israel to enforce his idea?”

He only needs to stop or drastically reduce the $4 billion a year the US sends to Israel.

4B is chump change to "stimulate" the American Defense industry. They would gladly pass on the handout if we would leave them alone and stand with "free nations" around the globe who need our support (not money).

But with the current administration, that will not happen.

Why is Israel held responsible for the creation of
an exterior state and government?

The Palestinians are free to declare a state on
the territory they hold, any time.

The people of Israel live, with Jerusalem as
their capital, and our next president should
move our embassy THERE first thing.

Sort of like Americans expected Obama to keep his oath of office?

That would be the one he made to “protect and defend the Constitution” - the one that he keeps breaking over and over again.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, of the United States.”

They already declared themselves a state and had a General Assembly resolution declare them a state more than once. But nothing happened. They make nothing but demands, build nothing but debt, and give nothing but grief. So they aren’t a state, no matter how many times they get declared one.

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. He only swore to do all that “to the best of my ability”. So there.
