The beauty of springtime reminds us of You, our Creator, and we thank You that You make all things new and beautiful because of the finished work of the Cross. Thank You that old things are passed away, and that we become new creatures through Jesus Christ. Lord, You are the wonderful God Who helps us to grow in grace and in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. You help us to grow in wisdom and in stature and in favor with You our God, and with man. Lord, we bless You this day and praise You for Your faithful ways.
Father, our need for repentance as a nation has never been greater. We are in tremendous jeopardy, Lord, because we have lost our way. We ask You to forgive us for the sins of apathy, of abortion, adultery, of homosexuality, and most of all for placing other gods before You. We ask You to forgive us for lukewarm attitudes of complacency. Father, we pray for Your mercy and ask You to guide our nation back to You.
We ask Your blessings upon our military men and women, Father. We thank You that You neither slumber nor sleep. You are their Keeper, their Shade upon their right hand. Please preserve them from all evil as You guard their souls. We ask for special mercies for the persecuted church in all areas of the world. Father, may all that is hidden be revealed and may You avenge every wrongful death.
We ask You to help our nation to pray for Israel, to defend her, and to bless her. Help us to support Your first chosen ones in every way.
Father, we remain confident that You will perfect that which concerns us. Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever. You will not forsake the works of Your own hands. Blessed are You, dear God, and great is Your faithfulness. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
Please join us in prayer.

Amen to your beautiful Prayer for Our American Heroes and our Nation.
Amen
Amen to this beautiful prayer for Mercy and Grace. Amen to the THANKSGIVING offered to our God and Savior.
Millions of people around the world have seen Gone with the Wind, which premiered in the United States on December 15, 1939. It won 10 Academy Awards and remains one of Hollywoods most commercially successful films. It was based on Margaret Mitchells 1936 novel, which sold one million copies within 6 months, received a Pulitzer Prize, and has been translated into more than 40 languages. An epic movie often has its source in a powerful and timeless book.
The book thats the basis for the Christian faith is the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, it is infused with Gods plan for His creation, including us. Psalm 119 celebrates the power and necessity of Gods Word in our lives. It lights our path (v.105), revives our souls (v.107), and guards our steps (v.110). Through the Scriptures we find wisdom, guidance, life, and joy. Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart (v.111).
Jesus our Lord calls us to base our lives on His Word and share the joy of knowing Him with people who are longing to find life. I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end (v.112).
What a book! What a Savior!
INSIGHT
: Psalm 119 is the psalmists response to Gods Word. Although he was scorned for trusting it (vv. 23-24), the psalmist vowed to remain committed to knowing and obeying Gods Word (vv. 106-110). In the midst of lifes troubles and difficulties (v. 107), he affirmed that Gods law is indeed a lamp that illuminates his ways and a light that provides guidance in responding to life (vv. 105,130). The psalmist believed that Gods Word would renew him and keep him strong (v. 107). It was his heritage and his joy (v. 111).
Amen!
I join in prayer for our heroes and nation!
