This was a wonderful speech. I’m sure the audience was able to contrast the long list of accomplishments and the ongoing initiatives of Cruz in the fight for religious liberty, against the “just talk” of other candidates.

Another quote from this magnificent speech was a well-deserved jab at the media:

Cruz: The left practices vilification and insults and spews hatred to people of faith. Our friends in the media facilitate it playing gotcha questions all the time. And yet, curiously they never ask those in the Democratic Party how they would react if their children became evangelical Christians. [laughter and applause] They never ask those in the Democratic Party how they would react if their children were faithful Catholics who believed the Biblical teaching that those Democratic politicians are persecuting actively.
