Mitt Romney on Hillary's Uraniumgate: 'It looks like bribery'
American Thinker ^ | 04/24/2015 | Thomas Lifson

Posted on 04/24/2015 6:33:39 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Mitt Romney has taken the gloves off. If only he had done so in 2012, a lot more people in Syria, Libya, and elsewhere would be alive, and the American economy and Supreme Court would be in far better shape.  Speaking to Hugh Hewitt on the latter’s radio show (audio here), he had this to say:

HH: Governor Romney, I know you’ve had a chance to read, I assume you’ve had a chance to read the Jo Becker/Mike McIntire New York Times piece today about the cash flowing into the Clinton Foundation from the Russians as they got control of Uranium One. What’s your reaction to this story?

MR: You know, I’ve got to tell you, I was stunned by it. I mean, it looks like bribery. I mean, there is every appearance that Hillary Clinton was bribed to grease the sale of, what, 20% of America’s uranium production to Russia, and then it was covered up by lying about a meeting at her home with the principals, and by erasing emails. And you know, I presume we might know for sure whether there was or was not bribery if she hadn’t wiped out thousands of emails. But this is a very, very serious series of facts, and it looks like bribery.

HH: I just asked Senator Lindsey Graham last hour if they would hold hearings into the donors to Clinton Family Foundation, because if the Russians can give them that much money, is it possible the Iranians have as well, Governor Romney?

MR: Well, we don’t know who gave money, and the IRS apparently is making it known that filings of the Clinton Foundation did not include the fact that foreign governments were making contributions.

Don’t worry. If it’s Jeb vs Hillary he won’t dare bring up her scandals. Too mean.

Someone I know told me cankles has been blackmailing people also but I’m not gonna say who, you should ask her, it’s her responsibility to explain it.

Of course it was bribery. That is how the Clintons operate.

I wonder if the media will jump on this like they jumped on Romney for Reid’s lies about his taxes.

...

That’s what he wants outsiders to think, but within the Uniparty it’s honor among thieves.

Reminds me of Mark Rich, if anyone knows, well, that’s good.

I’m hoping some Freeper has been following this story very, very closely because Fox News has me somewhat confused with regard to the amount of money, related to the Russian uranium deal, that was transferred by various entities to the Clinton Foundation and to Bill Clinton for speaking fees.

Here is what I’ve heard:

1. $500,000 to Bill Clinton for a Moscow speech
2. $2.5 million to the Clinton Foundation.
3. $130 million to the Clinton Foundation.
4. $135 million to the Clinton Foundation.
5. $145 million to the Clinton Foundation.

All of the above on Fox News last night.

Anyone out there who is less confused than me?

I don’t know but Lanny Davis was just on and said Hillary has done nothing wrong. I feel better now.

Yeah, good luck with that.

There are so many facets to the foundation - at least 8 different names according to what the “MISSION” is so that could have been different amounts to the different factions. It’s as if no one/no country could have done the charitable work by going direct without going through the Clintons. Their various websites state that their “GOOD WORKS” is also here in U. S. communities, and I’d sure like to know where. They really do think we’re all stupid.

Whoever the geniuses are behind this smorgasbord of foundations needs to sit in prison cells along with both Clintons. It’s a multitude of accountants and attorneys somewhere but who and where. Maybe with the news from yesterday, some of them aren’t as brilliant as they thought if they messed up the tax returns.

They have made sure this is every bit as convoluted and complex as the Whitewater mess which no one understood no matter the effort put in. Howard Hughes was a master at obscuring his entire estate and this has to come in second to his efforts.

I think Romney smells blood in the water and will announce he’s back in the race by July.

He’s got the money. That’s a big part of what it takes to win.

All those foreign bribes are a direct violation of Article I sec 9 of the Constituton, but then the GOP doesn’t care about the Constitution anymore than the Democrats.

If Romney had not stood down after the first debate we might not be looking at Jebster vs Cankles.

Of course, if McCain hadn’t endorsed Obama BEFORE the election, that would have helped, too.

LOL, we are dealing with Hillary here. “I was not aware that this would lead anyone to think that donation was given to influence me, so I will return the money to them.” Now that would be classic of her. See how easy it is to explain it away via her highness, and her minions would graciously accept it as an answer and still vote for her.

Same guy told me that one of those e-mails Hillary destroyed was a thank-you to Putin for a donation to the Clinton Foundation.
I don’t know if it’s true, but - unlike Harry Reid’s slander - that charge will never be disproven. Hillary should have to disprove it.
