Who used a shotgun to "brutally murder" David and Nicholas Pence in the living room of their Metairie home late Wednesday, and why were the beloved father and son targeted?

What stood out to me in the article was the neighbor’s bicycle being taken and later found in the street. I guess the two may not have anything to do with each other (although it does fit the time frame and the neighbor was across the street). I guess it tells me the person came on foot (and not a vehicle) and may have lived nearby. Very, very sad case.
