If Jeb Bush embodies many Republicans hopes to soften the GOPs harsh brand image on immigration and expand the partys competitiveness with Latino voters, then why is he endorsing and appearing at a political fundraiser tonight for the virulently anti-immigrant Senator David Vitter?
(SNIP)
Meanwhile, David Vitter is one of the most consistent anti-immigrant hardliners in the Senate a vocal opponent of the DREAM Act, comprehensive immigration reform, and President Obamas immigration executive action programs and a lead sponsor of efforts to restrict the use of discretion in immigration enforcement to target felons, not families (it continues to be ironic that Sen. Vitter is adamantly opposed to the use of discretion due to his own history). Vitter not only has a longstanding anti-immigrant voting record, but he is responsible for one of the most virulently anti-Latino and anti-immigrant campaign ads in recent years.
Sen. Vitter seems to be obsessed with gutting the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by denying American citizenship to babies born on U.S. soil, unless their parents can prove they have the right immigration documents.

Vitter has made it clear in town halls that he agrees with Graham/McCain on some foreign policy but disagrees greatly on immigration.
I saw Steve King on twitter shake Jeb's hand. I dont take that as an endorsement. King also probably wants to out on social issues.

the question (title) answers itself.
Jeb Bush supposedly governed Florida for 8 years in conservative fashion. So it is quite possible Vitter & Bush could have many common agenda.
I really get sick of The Ministry of Propaganda characterizing anyone who opposes surrendering the rule of law and the country to fraudulently documented foreigners as anti-immigrant.
No more bush.
If you study history, you will discover that every powerful empire in the past became increasingly more stupid with each new generation.
Maybe Vitter is is a closet pro-amnesty pimp.
Why is Jeb Bush Endorsing & Fundraising for Leading Anti-Immigrant Senator David Vitter?
ANSWER:
Hang with some people WITH principles AND
and it can appear just maybe you have some principles as well..
Don’t think so, Vitter, Lee, Cruz and Sessions have been the only ones consistently on the side of the citizens in the Senate.
