CAMP PENDLETON WILDFIRE

Marines and a fire crew respond to wildfires ablaze on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA, May 15, 2014. The Tomahawk fire, in the northeast section of Camp Pendleton, has burned more than 6,000 acres, forcing evacuations of housing areas on base and various schools on and off base. It was great! Went to Warm Springs where FDR had his winter place, was in the room where he died. Then went to Andersonville, a Civil War prison site for captured Union troops. Sad place. You could feel the presence of those troops there ... it's a large sloping field ...Haunting place.

There was a POW museum there that had artifacts of stuff GI's made in prison camps during our past wars.

Yes...a wonderful Wednesday with a 3 mile walk, arm and shoulder workouts, got to practice several of my instruments, and had some great lessons.

On a crazy side note...i got a call from a guitar player who deserted me (leaving me without a guitar player on EASTER Sunday, 2014), who wanted me to play in his band.

Seriously.

I kindly told him I was too busy.
