Chrysler had a prototype at one point that was a diesel/electric. A military version could also be used as a generator and operated batteries only for a short period to be stealthy.

Chevrolet sells a Hybrid version of the Silverado.

A big enough battery to do the job will be so heavy it will cut into payload.

Ford and GM have had hybrid trucks, and they do not sell well for obvious reasons.

Trucks are for carrying loads, hybrids are for soaking fools that have more money than good sense.

my trucks a hybrid, it uses gas and has a battery that the engine charges for lights and such.
