Fans of "The Five" know that co-host Dana Perino previously served as the White House press secretary under George W. Bush. And you're probably all well-acquainted with her four-legged friend and America's dog Jasper. But you may not know which fellow Fox News host led her to find Jasper or what happened to Dana in the infamous Iraq shoe-throw.
Fox News Insider caught up with Dana, and here are five fun stories she shared with us.
Dana's new book, "And the Good News Is...: Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side," is available now.
I Predicted I Would Work in the White House
When I was just 7 years old, my parents took me to Washington, D.C. While we went to all of the tourist spots Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol and various memorials the highlight was our visit to the White House. Little did I know, Bob Beckel was working in the West Wing at the time of our visit. According to my parents, that trip made quite an impression on me. The fact that she is a fellow dog lover just reinforces my belief in her genuineness.
Animal lovers, in general, are the best IMHO.
JMHO, YMMV, FWIW...
6. prefers Bushes
She’s best buds with Nicolle Wallace..that’s pretty much all I need to know
Loves the NWO.
She is right about getting another dog after you lose one and getting it quickly. It heals your heart.
Dana is a snooty little thing. She is also a big ole RINO.
Ok, so she’s from the moderate squish wing of the party. I still like her. She’s seems kind, she’s pretty, bright, feisty and above all she has a Vizla—which is almost a Weimaraner, and that’s as cool as it gets. (No offense to my cattle dog.)
You know this?
Not that it matters in this context but I would still like to know.
Oh, are you talking about the bush or the Bush’s?
Explain please.
Explain please.
I know this.
She talks really fast and has never said anything that I can remember or found noteworthy.
I completely disagree but it is your right to say what you believe.
She used to wrestle alligators at Gary’s Gator Park in Nosewhistle, Florida.
Her professional name was Gup.
Really?
Was your stage name puss puss at the time?
I find that show THE FIVE very boring, always did,
I loved when Glen Beck had that time slot, he was a blast.
When I met her she was very nice and congenial, what happened when you met her?
