Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a likely 2016 GOP presidential candidate, is marching forward with his bold new pro-American worker immigration policy. Hes not afraid to push for a legal immigration system that doesnt box out American workers with a massive influx of inexpensive foreign labor.
After first rolling out his new ideas on Glenn Becks radio program on Monday, Walker appeared on Fox News Megyn Kellys show to further elaborate on how he hopes to protect Americans economically from special interests pushing for a massive influx in cheap foreign labor from around the world....
[HUGE SNIP]
In addition to the Democrats completely shifting from where they used to stand, most in the GOP establishment have moved away from protecting Americans as wellin large part due to the special interests and big business lobbyists pushing for a massive influx in cheap foreign labor. Thats what terrifies Washington so much about a viable candidate for the presidency like Walker coming out as strongly as he has as an immigration populistand why the long knives are out to get him from pretty much everybody.
Bobics mistaken narrative notwithstanding, however, the entire institutional left has since joined The Huffington Post in driving this anti-Walker narrative in the wake of his bold new position. MSNBCs Steve Benen attacked Walker using Bobics piece to argue that Walker doesnt stand a chance at winning any more Hispanic voters than Mitt Romney did in 2012.....

Has he said he changed his mind on legalizing illegal aliens? If not, then he’s still favoring amnesty and all the posturing in the world won’t hide that inconvenient little truth.
Mark Levin: Scott Walker “is more radical than Obama” on amnesty
Yup...evolving Walker cannot be trusted.
....Virtually every kind of work that Americans will not do is in fact work that Americans have done for generations, Thomas Sowell, a conservative columnist, added the same day. In many cases, most of the people doing that work today are Americans.
The Washington Examiners Byron York has also written frequently about this topic, most recently touting polling numbers from Gallup that found Americans by and large side with Sessionsand now with Walker.”...
paul, jeb and rubio better get on board quick (not that anyone will believe them :). the walker train is leaving.
Evolving....politically expedient equivocation?
I’m glad he’s coming around to my way of thinking on this topic, but why should I believe him?
He’s late to the party and he was on the other side until recently.
I'm already sick and tired of the 2016 campaign.

I think Walker has found exactly the right way to address the immigration issue, and that’s by considering both legal and illegal immigration as a package. He then has the advantage of advocating for good wages for American workers which is already today driving the Left absolutely bonkers. He’s painted the Left into a box by doing so, because he’s right—holding down the number of immigrants will put upward pressure on American wages.
The rest follows, and then some. First, if you’re going to control legal immigration, you obviously also have to control illegal immigration. If Americans aren’t currently working who want jobs, obviously some (most?) here now illegally should be sent home. If there are Americans sitting on their butts because of lax policies on welfare and disability, tighten the policies and see how they react to rising wages. As more of them surface in the work force, less immigration would be called for.
Eventually, maybe we even get back to a legitimately low unemployment rate with jobs going begging, at which time it would make sense to increase the number allowed to immigrate again. That’s certainly not the case now.
The Democrats have their own big business lobbyists also favoring cheap labor. They also shill for government unions, which benefit from an influx of people, since government expands relentlessly along with population growth, thereby increasing the rolls of civil service unions.
Thanks for the informative articles you post. : )

“Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has clearly awakened the Washington establishment beast.
Not only is the liberal media and establishment right-of-center coming out guns-a-blazing at Walker over his pro-American worker position on legal immigration, but now Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)the most pro-amnesty Republican there is, someone who worked for years with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) on immigrationis leading a charge against Walkers new position.
I think most statistics show that they fill part of the workforce that are much needed. We have, and Im a living example of, the aging population. We need these people in the workforce legally, McCain said when asked about Walkers position by mainstream media reporters, according to the openly liberal Talking Points Memos Sahil Kapur.
I do, McCain added when asked if he worries Walkers position makes the GOP look anti-immigrant.
I do, McCain said:............”
