Scott Walker Lays Out Pro American Worker Stance on Immigration
Breitbart ^ | 4-20-15 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 04/20/2015 8:44:29 PM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a likely 2016 GOP presidential candidate, pledged to protect American workers from the economic effects, not only of illegal immigration but also of a massive increase in legal immigration.

During an interview with Glenn Beck, Walker became the first declared or potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate to stake out a position on immigration fully in line with that of Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL). He also noted that he has been working with Chairman Sessions on the issue to learn more about it.

Walker is now the only potential or declared GOP presidential candidate to discuss the negative effects of a massive increase in legal immigration on American workers:

In terms of legal immigration, how we need to approach that going forward is saying—the next president and the next congress need to make decisions about a legal immigration system that’s based on, first and foremost, on protecting American workers and American wages, because the more I’ve talked to folks, I’ve talked to Senator Sessions and others out there—but it is a fundamentally lost issue by many in elected positions today—is what is this doing for American workers looking for jobs, what is this doing to wages, and we need to have that be at the forefront of our discussion going forward.

Walker discussed how in the past he did support amnesty, but says he doesn’t anymore, because he has learned more about the issue. That shows him to be one of the most open-minded GOP candidates on such matters.

You ask questions that take hours to answer doing the Google searches. The media does a miserable job with their sketchy reporting. And, what we do read are distortions meant to cast a quality Conservative in a bad way to the grass roots.

Luckily, there are some You Tube videos you can look at:

Governor Scott Walker: (see time 9:23)

Senator Ted Cruz: (see time 16:41):

LMAO

Yeah. Thanks for that news flash.

We have had the immigration problems we have, and he’s just learned about it.

He didn’t take it serious until now. Now he wants me to take him serious.

As I said. LMAO

You folks sucker for these idiots every four years.

I totally agree with you.

You’ve nailed it. Wasn’t so hard either.

All I run into are nothing but idiot candidates who couldn’t grasp this until a month ago or whenever they had their pre-electoral conversion. It frankly angers me.

Then you get the folks who try to talk them up, as if “well he’s perfect now”. Yeah sure. He’s running. Good grief the simple minds...

I quickly found some You Tube videos from Governor Scott Walker, Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Marco Rubio on immigration reform. All are on the same page as far as I can determine. See my post #61 for the links to what they actually say, unfiltered by those with a different agenda.

LOL, I’m not buying what Walker’s selling.

Last time it was Rick Perry, the home grown moron that couldn’t grasp the issues.

Now it’s Walker who has recently had a come to -—— moment.

It sickens me to watch these guys pull this routine, and then watch his supporters champion the newborn.

Hawk him to someone else.

The governors tour will not come close to the real illegal alien problems. Just the crime wave is astounding. Stolen cars, burglary, drugs, gangs, financial drain on local economies, schools, medical, food banks, traffic deaths and accidents. I can show Walker what it really about.

Just one hospital in Dallas had 62,000 anchor baby births a couple of years ago, all paid for by us taxpayers. Multiply that by what, 5 grand cost for a normal delivery and you are talking about real money. The mother and child then immediately go on welfare and can bring in other family members who in turn get on welfare. It is said statistically that every anchor baby will cost the taxpayers 250 grand ea. by the time they are 18 years old.

No, Scott Walker does not know what it really is like or costs. The politicians drank the crap W put out about illegals, ‘they are here to do the work Americans won’t do’.

I couldn't care less what you think.

Just posting what is the truth so that anyone reading this knows that Scott Walker has the best record for passing conservative laws that shows he is pro American. but you all want us to trust your psychic powers that just know he is anti-American who will put foreigners above Americans . i don't buy what you are selling. Scott Walker I trust as his record shows who he is

Blah blah blah blah...

If a guy couldn’t grasp illegal immigration to a month ago, he isn’t what you blindly think he is.

You’re just one more person who is sold on a guy that has pulled the wool over your eyes.

He’s running now, so he finally figured it out.

Let me see, he’s had this new policy for a few weeks now.

I’ll bet you think he can’t change it again now right?

Why of course...

Post that truth.

you're tyring to smear Scot Walker as being an anti American with liberal news media tactics.I believe when he says that he will reduce legal immigration.

His record shows he is pro American and that he has done what he said he was going to do . It's called a record not what you or the media said he said . words mean nothing . actions are what matter.

Walker's passed more conservative and pro American laws that helped citizens more than anyone.
go post to some one else. don't care what you say.

Wanted to thank you for the work you did finding those clips.

The one of Walker is just six weeks old. In it he states that if illegals pay a fine and wish to stay, he thinks they could find a way to do that.

That is not what folks have been claiming on this thread. It is exactly opposite of what they have been saying. He does not demand they go home.

Cruz doesn’t do any better.

Rubio is also out to lunch.

I appreciate you doing this. I would have responded sooner, but was tied up with a discussion for a period of time.

Walker addresses the fine issue about 10:15 in.

His dear supporters might wish to listen in for his actual stated policy.

The problem you folks have, is that you don’t listen. You simply barrel along full speed ahead.

I don’t give a rip what you think of me.

LISTEN!

10:20 in this video

Scott is asked if illegal pay a fine, if they can stay.

Listen to his garbled answer yourself. He says he believes a way can be found to do that.

I have been highly suspicious of the claim he changed his mind. I’m glad I was.

I believe when he says that he will reduce legal immigration.

Like reducing spending once they cross the Potomac?

That math goes like this,
We'll spend 10-trillion more, but reduce that by 1-Billion.
See, we reduced spending by 1-Billion, Vote for me.

The illegals are pouring in like crazy, and the Dems have
ramped it up further by sending planes to get them here. But
at the same time deporting a few. Yet here we are with candidates
tolerating and ignoring it.

Here's our Border in a nutshell.

Cruz/Walker Walker/Cruz

I am not opposed to that, but I really think that Ted Cruz would be best as Attorney General.

Can you imagine Cruz in charge of ATF, ICE, FBI, etc? He would dismantle those agencies from the inside....just as they need to be cleaned up. He would enforce our border laws and existing immigration laws strongly.

I think that would be a far better use of Cruz than VP.

Then, you put someone like Donald Trump (like him...not him) in as Secretary of State. Let Trump negotiate with the Iranians, Russians and Chinese. He knows how to deal with that and clean house at the State Department.

He [Walker] has absolutely no record on immigration and as a professional politician I do not trust him more than I do Putin.

That is a total lie.

Walker has a stellar record on immigration in Wisconsin. Those details have been posted in this thread.

You are either poorly informed and speaking from your fecal orifice or you are a socialist troll.

Either way, you are another to watch this election season.

He didn’t take it serious until now. Now he wants me to take him serious.

When the immigration issue came up in Wisconsin, Walker always enacted the conservative position. Those details are posted in this thread as EVIDENCE of what Walker does.

But you either refuse to acknowledge Walker's ACTIONS or you intend to troll this thread so the next best socialist can be elected.

Either way, you are not to be trusted or taken seriously by anyone.

Walker flip flops, and I can’t trust him on the single most important issue that decides our Republics future...I can’t trust he won’t flip right back to his previous position. He’s reminding me of Mitt Romney and that’s not settling well.

And we all know how we get a superior product in the WH when we go blind to the whole of the opposition because we dislike some stuff about our own options....

“Walker flip flops, and I can’t trust him on the single most important issue that decides our Republics future”...

I don’t see anyone who has re-educated themselves on an issue as having “flip flopped”. Even idiots can change their minds and believe me Walker is no idiot.

Walkers accomplishments:
1. lowered taxes
2. passed conservative laws over democrat and media opposition
3. passed right to work laws
4. balanced the budget while cutting taxes and turning a huge deficit into a surplus
5. acted against climate change and against unions
6. many more conservative results
7. defeated democrats more than anyone in history to pass conservative laws and he’s been governor only a short time
8. defeated democrats in several elections already some recall elections

Actions, results matter.”........

You won’t see any accomplishments like these on Hitlary’s resume.

It will take decades to undo the damage Obama has done.

It doesn't have to, and with two conservatives running, the turnaround time may be a pleasant surprise.
