A woman was left covered in blood after she was injured in the latest violent anti-immigrant protests in South Africa.
So far six people are believed to have been killed in the violent protests which started two weeks ago in Durban, a key port on South Africa's Indian Ocean coast, spreading to Johannesburg.
In the latest show of violence around 200 protesters, shouting that they wanted immigrants to leave the country, pelted passing vehicles and the police with rocks.

The nationality of the immigrants being persecuted is that of other AFRICAN nations, Somalis, Ethiopians, Malawians and other immigrants.
These people have fled from strife in their own countries, mostly as a result of Islamic persecutions and “ethnic cleansing” in their homelands. Clearly, South Africa is no safe haven for them, either.
It is the Zulus who are having the hardest time of integrating these new immigrants. Perhaps it is a tribal thing, but there seems to be little work ethic exhibited by the indigenous population.
When ever I read about incidents like this in Africa I can’t help but think about the 1968 movie ‘Dark of the Sun’.
This isn’t new to us, just starting another lap of the track.
I loved the mine dances, that were put on by the employees of the mines, kinda combo of modern rock & native culture.
Searching news stories about these attacks on immagrants they never call them anything but else... are they legally there?
Most of the immigrants are from other African Countries, the English & dutch are leaving as fast as the can. Since the Government is run by the natives, it is tough on the Europeans who built the country. Kinda like what happened in Rhodesia.
So basically it sounds to me that the native blacks want to impose Apartheid on the immigrant blacks.
Sounds like we need to get Bono and Company to get back together and re-record “I Ain’t Gonna Play Sun City.”
Guess what, the ancestors of the “Native” South African blacks were immigrants too, who moved in because of the economic opportunities created by the Afrikaner settlers.
Thanks....I hope its not much like what happened in Rhodesia
