Influential Egyptian TV personality Tawfik Okasha has reportedly told Israel to bomb Iran. Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a dear friend, Okasha said that Israel should bomb the Bushehr Nuclear Reactor, Breaking Christian News reports.
"Put your trust in God and bomb it. We are with you and if you need fuel for the jets, we will give it to you, Okasha said.
Netanyahu said Okashas words are proof Egypt cannot be trusted.
"In the last few days, Iran has shown again why it can't be trusted," Netanyahu said.
According to Breaking Christian News, the Israeli Prime Minister does not approve of the nuclear deal.
"Iran insists on maintaining its formidable nuclear capabilities with which it could produce nuclear bombs. Iran insists on removing all sanctions immediately. And Iran refuses to allow effective inspections of all its suspect facilities. At the same time, Iran continues its unbridled aggression in the region and its terrorism throughout the world," Netanyahu said in a statement.
"We must not let Iran, the foremost sponsor of global terrorism, have an easy path to nuclear weapons which will threaten the entire world," he continued.

I would not trust Egypt as a matter of policy, but in this instance, they are correct.
The bombing needs to happen before the Russian anti-air SAM is in place.

That reads like a typo; why would Okasha’s statement prove that Israel should not trust Egypt? In context, it looks like Bibi was referring to not trusting Iran.

Yes, I think it’s a typo.

Egypt Tells Israel to 'Trust in God' and Bomb Iran I'm disappointed that 'W' didn't take care of this problem. Now the world is counting on Israel to save us.

“Let’s you and him fight.”
Such a suggestion ... I don’t know what would be worse, having Egypt’s blundering support, or just having them observe from the sidelines.

I can't tell whether Egypt is really in support of Israel against Iran, or if Egypt is enticing two enemies to fight each other.
Maybe both.

That might be. It doesn’t change the fact that Israel is looking at Iran getting an extremely sophisticated anti-air missile system from Russia in the very near future.

Didn’t Iraq get theirs at the same garage sale?

The SA-10 (SA-N-6) Russian missile is not something to scoff at. As a former Navy Attack Aviator, it was always a part of the equation as something to avoid or take out to the maximum extent possible.
Long range, high and low altitude capable, and fast... bottom-line, a serious threat.
Yes it can be defeated, but it is a deadly system and raises the risk to attacking aircraft exponentially.

Yea, Russia is certainly not helping.
I remember when at least one of the superpowers were working for stability in the world.
Now none of them are.

Most Egyptians don’t like Israel, but they have come to accept its existence and have had generally decent relations since the peace agreement. But Iran is a different story. The vast majority of Egyptians loath Iran because they are seen as the principal champion of Islamic heresy in the form of the Shia branch. Hatred for Iran runs deep in the Sunni world.

Egypt really can’t bomb Iran directly. They are too far away and their military probably doesn’t have the capability for that kind of long range strike.

Egypt likes having an Israel that is stuck with the “Palestinian problem” like a tar baby; it saves them the trouble.
