Music-festival season is underway, and it’s important to make sure to dress appropriately — not just for the weather, but for cultural sensitivity as well. If you’re not sure what I mean, that’s okay! I spent some time on Social Justice Internet today finding some helpful tips so that you can understand what I mean and why it’s so important: Aside from obvious no-nos like Native-American headdresses or Indian bindis, you also need to make sure that the patterns on your clothes aren’t offensive. That’s right — it’s not enough to simply make sure your shirt is clean and doesn’t have any insensitive or crude images on it, you actually also also need to research the pattern and make sure it couldn’t be interpreted as having been inspired by “tribal” or Aztec culture:

LOL! No, really? Looks like a guide for what TO wear from my point of view. Nothing like a little nano-aggression to start the day. For instance, for the upcoming timmy boy macaw anti-violence/anti-gun concert in CT, I might (if I were stupid enough to go)wear a nice S&W M&P logo'd shirt. Or a "Celebrate Diversity" shirt with various firearms boldly emblazoned on it. Yeah, that's the ticket.

So, make other cultures irrelevant.

There is an image out there of “co-exist” done with the different brands of firearms. Sorry, I’m not good at loading pictures, or I would post it.

So does this make music festivals a ‘safe place’?

I’m sure they’re gun free zones, so yes they would be absolutely safe. Gun free zones are ALWAYS safe.

What about a plaid shirt that uses a clan tartan? Is that too “tribal?”

The liberals are slowly forming a circular firing squad.

Native American fashion is popular & quite attractive (see above), & will be so long after the unicorn is dead.

Don't these people understand what RACISM is? How will their supposed allies in the fashion industry, & native Americans, who hand make some beautiful stuff, feel about such a ban?

As for disturbing patterns, this clothing makes me dizzy. Does dizziness qualify as being offended?

“The Source defines cultural appropriation as “adopting elements of a different culture, typically without consent,” and that is bad.””

Exactly! So if a Cherokee, Inuit, Hindu, Scandinavian, West African or Bolivian wears jeans, sneakers, a t-shirt with or without band name, and baseball cap that is insulting and degrading to Americans, all Americans, and should be shunned and ridiculed. Add a denim jacket and now you make us REALLY ANGRY!
