PASSAIC — The state chapter of a prominent Jewish civil rights group had condemned as a “hateful act” an incident in which a Clifton man is alleged to have thrown lit firecrackers outside the Ahavas Israel Synagogue on Saturday night.

The Anti-Defamation League on Monday decried the alleged attack, calling it an act of anti-Semitism and calling for Rizek Musheisen to be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”

Following a hearing in Passaic Municipal Court Monday, Musheisen posted 10 percent of his $5,000 bail set by Judge Debbie Klugler Irwin in cash, and was released from the city lockup. Musheisen is charged with bias intimidation, harassment and criminal mischief and is next scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Paterson on April 30.

Apparently throwing firecrackers is a hateful act. But the President throwing Israel into a nuclear holocaust? Not so much. This country’s so-called “Jewish leaders” need to get their priorities in order.
