My understanding, FWIW, is that when these cases get taken to federal court the laws are routinely ruled unconstitutional.

As they should be.

Which is not to say that photographers can’t be disruptive. Look at the paparazzi around celebs.

But a photographer who’s being disruptive can be arrested for the disruption, not the photographing.

I understand that, but it’s the intimidation. Here is a link about what’s going on, it was ruled unconstitutional but they are still arresting people. Now, keep in mind, we don’t have many places to turn. The speaker of the house is Mike Madigan, dem machine operative, huge power in the state, he has the power and is right now strangling executive orders and court orders from our newly elected R govenor. How? Well, coincidentally his daughter Lisa Madigan is the states attorney. He can do what he wants. SHE interprets the law, sitting on filings and cases forever, so they never get to the state supreme (which is all dems anyhow, elected and campaigns paid for by the large law firms)

Anyways, read this, it’s just one article, plenty more found on your favorite search engine.

BTW, thanks for your input, I had never thought about the disruptive aspect, but I think LEO and officials (yes, they are arresting IL residents for filming town hall meetings and such, they bring extra cops when our TEA peoples show up), should not have any protection from being filmed or photographed in the line of work, while doing the job of the people.
