"How do you live with yourself?"
Probably about as well as those many 60 Minutes reporters over the years who conducted numerous ambush interviews. What 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft didn't like was that he was on the receiving end of an interview on the fly by a New York Post reporter. Call it karmatic kickback but it all started back in January when it was revealed that Steve Kroft had been having an affair with a mistress notable for the way he slurped champagne. For some background let us first review some of the New York Post highlights (or lowlights) of the scandal which broke in January before we take a look at Kroft's extreme anger at being treated the way mere mortals often are on 60 Minutes:

Steve be likin’ those sistas! Mo’ cushin’ fo’ da pushin’!
He was on the plane with Hillary during the corkscrew landing in Bosnia.
I like chocolate pudding, too....but not if it has lumps in it.
I used to love 60 Minutes and believed them.
Then they did a story on a situation I was personally completely familiar with. They made the story just about the opposite of what actually happened.
Interestingly, they did it without lying at all. They simply inferred and shaded things so they appeared differently.
‘...it was revealed that Steve Kroft had been having an affair with a mistress notable for the way he slurped champagne.’
Huh?
If there’s one news service I certainly would pay for, it would be one that is devoted 24/7 to watching and investigating and probing and exposing journolistas.
It is news after all. Nobody else gets away with saying it’s private business.
This tremendous and wonderful service, I’d pay for.
It’s gross. Better to move along...
Paybacks are hard to handle, what goes around comes around. No pun intended
WHO THE HELL WOULD HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH HIM?
Yes TMI but I stumbled upon similar shenanigans during the Lewinsky saga so he and the toon have something in common.
I had the same experience as you. They did a story back in the 80’s implying that pilots were not being allowed enough rest and sleep between flights by their stingy employers and this was causing accidents. They showed a picture of a helicopter crash in North Carolina. My dad was a former army helicopter pilot in Vietnam and currently working for a helicopter company that leased helicopter ambulances to hospitals. He said that helicopter crashed because the pilot was showing off to some nurses how close he could fly to telephone wires and he accidentally hit one. It had nothing to do with lack of sleep.
I have had trouble believing anything on 60 minutes ever since.
Media creatures, which this jerk is, are part of America’s leadership. Apparently he is an example to the nation of the moral collapse impacting our country.
I too enjoyed 60 Min until they claimed the Audi 5000s had uncontrollable acceleration!
Gearheads everywhere dream of uncontrollable acceleration!
When it is too good to be true, its fake.
He appears to like slurping it filtered through her backside
Apparently he is an example to the nation of the moral collapse impacting our country.
newsbusters, mediawatch
Anyone who goes onto one of the major networks (and most cable networks) that expects that they will be cast as they expect and want to be are stupid! Yes, you are stupid!! Now of course that means all Republicans but it also means those stupid Democrats thinking that they have a pathway to success..heh.
I watch who of the Republicans go on CNN, and all major networks and automatically deduct 20 points because they are that stupid! Really, that means there are only about 3 candidates that qualify you know...
I do add points back if they antagonize the media though... Lovely information world that we live in now...geez.
We can all thank that 60 minutes story for the brake interlock on every car sold here that prevents the transmission selector from moving from the “Park” position unless the footbrake is fully applied.
THat is a bit of a problem when off-roading, but thanks anyway, 60 minutes...
They lost me when they did a hit piece on the Waco, Texas DA back in the 80s.
